TASC Force News
Addison Texas and Christmas at Fair Park
With a number of holiday TASC Force events reported over the past few weeks, I’m pleased to finally share with you this outstanding example of community support as reported by SM Tim Sullivan of BJ’s in Addison. “The Christmas at Fair Park event was an astounding success. It was by far the largest event that the SM Wright Foundation, one that provides relief and hope to families in need in the South Dallas area, has organized. In speaking with the foundation a couple days after, the organizer stated that over 10,000 children had received toys that morning and just over 27,000 people received food bags for their families.
Accompanied by GM Kevin Anderson, EKM Dan Wilk, KM Michael Gonzalez and a handful of TM's, we jumped in the mix that morning with the other 100 or so volunteers to help hand out all of the dry food to the families that came through. To be able to see so many smiles of thanks on the faces of those less fortunate during the holidays really was an eye-opening experience for all of us involved. Rev. Wright was extremely appreciative of the monetary donation from the BJ's Foundation, and also for the helping hands that BJ's team members we were able to provide. This was a very rewarding experience for all of those involved and we hope to be a part of the same event next year.”
Great story Tim! Thanks for sharing this wonderful TASC Force event with us.
