MEMBERSHIP

1. What is the BJ’s Brewhouse Beer Club?

Did you know that BJ’s has been brewing award-winning, original craft beer for over 24 years?  We are proud to say we’ve won over 220 beer awards over those 24 years, and have been awarded more gold medals over the last 5 years than any other Restaurant-Brewer in the U.S.† Because of this, we decided to create the BJ’s Brewhouse Beer Club, for which our head brewer, Alex Puchner, will be brewing special small batch R&D beers available exclusively to members.

During each two-month period of membership in the Beer Club (each a “Two-Month Period”), Beer Club members will receive a limited quantity of small batch beer for takeout, unlimited upgrades from 16 oz. to 20 oz. pours in restaurant (excluding our Westwood location) on our BJ’s Handcrafted Signature draft beers (excluding BJ’s Committed® Double IPA and all seasonal brews with an ABV over 8.4%), and several other dine-in and takeout perks. Members will also receive an exclusive Founding Member pint glass upon sign-up.

2. Where is the BJ’s Brewhouse Beer Club available?

We are currently offering the BJ’s Brewhouse Beer Club in California only.

Beer Club members must designate one of our BJ’s restaurants in California as their “home” restaurant for picking up the beer releases each Two-Month Period. Currently, members may designate any of our BJ’s restaurants in California (except for our restaurants located in Westwood, Salinas, Palmdale and Laguna Beach) as their pick-up location. All other dine-in and takeout perks of the Beer Club are available for use by members at all of our BJ’s restaurants in California.

Currently, BJ’s restaurants outside of California are not available to be designated as the member’s “home” restaurant for picking up beer releases, and all other dine-in and takeout perks of the Beer Club are not valid for use at any of our restaurants outside of California. 

We anticipate expanding the Club in the future to other states within the U.S. However, please note that we reserve the right to cancel the Club at any time and/or not proceed with expanding the Club outside of California, for any or no reason.

3. How do I sign up for the BJ’s Brewhouse Beer Club?

You can sign up for the BJ’s Brewhouse Beer Club by visiting www.bjsrestaurants.com/beer-club-register.  When you sign up, you’ll also be included in our Premier Rewards PLUS program (if you aren’t already a Premier Rewards PLUS member), in which you’ll receive $10 rewards for every $100 you spend in our restaurants (excluding alcohol purchases and certain other exclusions). 4. When will I be charged for my Beer Club membership?

Your membership will commence immediately on the date you sign up and will run for the remainder of the Two-Month Period in-process when you sign up, and then will auto-renew for two months at a time thereafter (until timely canceled by you or BJ’s). Excluding the Two-Month Period in-process when you sign up (for which you’ll be charged immediately), thereafter you’ll be charged every two months – on the 27th day of the month immediately preceding each Two-Month Period. For example, if you sign up on September 15, you will be charged initially on September 15 (for the Two-Month Period of September 1 – October 31 then in-process), then on October 27 (for the Two-Month Period of November 1 – December 31), December 27 (for the Two-Month Period  of January 1 – February 28), and so on (until timely canceled by you or BJ’s).

5. What is the fee to subscribe to the Beer Club?

The current fee to subscribe to the Beer Club is $30 (plus tax) per Two-Month Period, as set forth at www.bjsrestaurants.com/beerclub. We reserve the right to change the Club fee at any time.

6. Can I cancel my membership at any time?

Yes, you may cancel your membership at any time.

Please note that upon cancellation you will not be refunded the fee for the Two-Month Period then in-process, and if you cancel before the 27th day of the second month of the Two-Month Period then in-process you will remain in the Beer Club until the end of that Two-Month Period, meaning you will be able to use the in-restaurant perks and savings in your account until their expiration at the end of that period. Please also note that if you cancel your membership on or after the 27th day of the second month of the Two-Month Period then in-process, you also will not be refunded the fee for the upcoming Two-Month Period and you will remain in the Beer Club until the end of that upcoming Two-Month Period.

7. How do I cancel my membership?

To cancel your Beer Club membership, please log in to your account and click the “CANCEL SUBSCRIPTION” button.

PERKS

8. What is included with my Beer Club membership?

Upon initial sign-up for the BJ’s Brewhouse Beer Club, you will receive an Intro Pack comprised of one 750 mL bottle of Imperial White Ale, your choice of a 64 oz. growler or 6-pack of any BJ’s Handcrafted Signature Beer (excluding BJ’s Committed® Double IPA, BJ’s PM Porter®, BJ’s Tatonka® Stout and all seasonal brews with an ABV over 8.4% for the growler option), and one Founding Member pint glass.

Thereafter, each release will include two beer types that are only available to BJ’s Brewhouse Beer Club members – typically a 4-pack of 16 oz. cans and one 750 mL bottle.

Unlimited upgrades from 16 oz. to 20 oz. pours in restaurant (except our Westwood location) on our BJ’s Handcrafted Signature draft beers (excluding BJ’s Committed® Double IPA and all seasonal brews with an ABV over 8.4%).

Other included dine-in perks (limit one per visit; cannot be combined with each other or any other offer or discount):

  • One Pizookie® (one per Two-Month Period)
  • One Appetizer (one per Two-Month Period)

Takeout perks (limit one per visit; cannot be combined with each other or any other offer or discount):

  • One Large Deep Dish Pizza (one per Two-Month Period; limit one perk per visit; cannot be combined with each other or any other offer or discount)
  • Unlimited $5 64 oz. Growler Refills of any BJ’s Handcrafted Signature Beers, excluding BJ’s Committed® Double IPA, BJ’s PM Porter®, BJ’s Tatonka® Stout and all seasonal brews with an ABV over 8.4%

9. How do I keep track of all my great perks?

Your perks will be loaded into your Premier Rewards PLUS account, and you will be able to track the perks you have available at any point in time (and when they expire) by logging into your Premier Rewards PLUS account.

10. When do my Beer Club membership perks begin?

Your perks start the day you sign up!  Specifically, your Intro Pack and 16 oz. to 20 oz. beer upgrades will be available immediately after you sign up, and all other dine-in and takeout perks will be available within 24 hours thereafter.  (Only one perk can be used per visit).

For the initial Two-Month Period underway when you sign up, regardless how many days remain in that period, your dine-in and takeout perks will be available for 60 days after your sign-up date, and you will be eligible to pick up both that beer release and the beer release for the next Two-Month Period’s beer release when such next beer release is available.

After the initial sign-up package, all beer releases and other perks will be provided for each Two-Month Period of your membership.

You will also be eligible to pick up your 20 oz. Founding Member glass at the restaurant right away.

11. Are there any other perks of membership?

Yes! In addition to the perks described above, we may provide:

  • Occasional surprise and delight discounts and other exclusive promotional offers
  • A Pizookie® to celebrate your birthday!

Also, as a member of the Club, you’ll be included in our Premier Rewards PLUS program (if you aren’t already a Premier Rewards PLUS member), through which you will receive a $10 reward for every $100 you spend at our restaurants (excluding alcohol purchases and certain other exclusions). 12. How do I get my BJ’s Handcrafted Signature Beer upgrades?

You can start upgrading your beers the day you join the Beer Club  (excluding at our Westwood location).  Just notify your server that you are a BJ’s Brewhouse Beer Club member and give them either your Beer Club Member ID (which is the same as your Premier Rewards PLUS number) or the phone number used to sign up for your Beer Club membership. 

Please note that this upgrade is only available on 16 oz. BJ’s Handcrafted Signature Beers. (Excludes BJ’s Committed® Double IPA and all seasonal brews with an ABV over 8.4%. BJ’s takes responsible beverage service seriously and will refuse an upgrade if providing such upgrade would result in a violation of the law or BJ’s policies.) 

13. How do I access my dine-in and takeout perks?

Your Beer Club perks will be valid during the Two-Month Period for which you have made a payment, and will remain valid through the last day of such Two-Month Period.  (There is one small exception for the initial Two-Month Period underway when you sign up – regardless how many days remain in that period, your dine-in and takeout perks will be available for 60 days after your sign-up date.)  These perks will be displayed in your BJ's Premier Rewards PLUS account.  When you are in any of our restaurants in California, notify the server that you are a Beer Club member and they can provide you with the available perks in your account or you can access your unused perks through our mobile app or website.  Just remember, only one Beer Club perk can be used per visit (in addition to the 16 oz. to 20 oz. draft beer upgrades).

14. What time period is relevant for the Beer Club perks?

Each beer release and other perks in the Beer Club are provided on a two-month basis. Specifically, there are six Two-Month Periods each calendar year in the Beer Club: January/February, March/April, May/June, July/August, September/October, and November/December. (There is one small exception to these dates—namely, for the initial Two-Month Period underway when you sign up, regardless how many days remain in that period, your dine-in and takeout perks will be available for 60 days after your sign-up date.)

15. What happens if I don’t pick up a particular beer release?

Your limited quantity of the beer release for a particular Two-Month Period will be made available when ready during such period, and will be available for pick-up by members for six weeks after that release date. If you do not pick up such beer release by the end of that six-week period, you will forfeit it.

16. Can I use more than one Beer Club perk at a time?

You can use your 16 oz. to 20 oz. beer upgrade every time you dine in at a BJ’s restaurant in California (excluding our Westwood location).  You can also use your unlimited $5 Growler Refill perks for every take out or delivery order.  In addition to the beer upgrade and growler refills, you may use one additional Beer Club perk (dine-in or takeout, as applicable) per visit from your account during the paid Two-Month Period.

17. Can I pick up my beer releases and use my Beer Club perks at any BJ’s Restaurant?

No, you will only be able to pick up your beer release at the BJ’s restaurant you designated as your home restaurant during the sign-up process. 

However, you may use all other dine-in and takeout perks of the Beer Club at any of our BJ’s restaurants in California (excluding the beer upgrade at our Westwood location). We will make an announcement if we expand the applicability of the Club outside of California in the future.

PICK-UP

18. When do I get my first Beer Club release?

Your Intro Pack will be available immediately after sign-up. 

For every subsequent beer release, you will be notified via email when the beer is available for you to pick up in your home restaurant.

Remember that your 16 oz. to 20 oz. beer upgrades are available immediately after you sign up, and all other dine-in and takeout perks will be available within 24 hours thereafter.

19. When will I pick up my next beer release?

You will receive an email (as well as a text message, if you have opted in) from us when it is time to pick up a beer release for any future Two-Month Period for which you’ve paid.

20. How do I pick up my beer release?

For each beer release, including the Intro Pack, you will pick it up at your home restaurant you designate in the Beer Club sign-up process. Just check in with the takeout hostess and provide your member ID number or the code located in your confirmation email. BJ’s wants to ensure that you are getting the freshest, most favorable beer so please make sure you pick it up within six weeks from the release date. Remember, when picking up any beer at a BJ’s restaurant, you will be required to show a valid identification establishing that you are 21 years or older. BJ’s reserves the right to refuse a pick-up if you cannot produce valid identification establishing that you are 21 years or older, if you are obviously intoxicated, or if the circumstances otherwise suggest allowing you to pick up the beer will violate any law.

21. What if I can’t make it during the beer pick-up window?

You have six weeks from the date we notify you via email (or a text message, if you have opted in) to pick up your beer release . If you can’t pick it up within that timeframe, please call your home restaurant and make arrangements with the manager to hold it for you. If you would like to designate someone else to pick up the beer release for you, please make arrangements with your home restaurant. Please remember that your designee must be 21 years of age to pick up the beer for you. Your designee will be required to show a valid identification establishing that he/she is 21 years or older. BJ’s reserves the right to refuse a pick-up if your designee cannot produce valid identification establishing that he/she is 21 years or older, if he/she is obviously intoxicated, or if the circumstances otherwise suggest allowing the beer to be picked up will violate any law.

22. Can I get my beers shipped to me?

No. Unfortunately, we are not able to ship any beer to our members at this time. All beer will need to be picked up at your home restaurant. If you have any questions, please reach out to your home restaurant and speak to a manager.

23. Do I need to reserve a time to pick up my beer release?

No. You will just need to go into your home restaurant within the six weeks following the date of the email (or text message, if you have opted in) from BJ’s notifying you of the beer release.

MY ACCOUNT

24. What is your “home” restaurant?

Your home restaurant is the BJ’s restaurant you designated—when you signed up for the BJ’s Brewhouse Beer Club—from among the drop-down list of available locations in California where you want to pick up your beer releases as a member of the Beer Club. Currently, you may designate any of our BJ’s restaurants in California as your pick-up location, except for our restaurants in Westwood, Salinas, Palmdale and Laguna Beach.

25. Can I change my home restaurant location?

Yes, to change your home restaurant to one of the other available locations in California, please log in and scroll down to the “Beer Club Details” section.

26. What is my Member ID?

Your member ID is what you will provide to your server to use any of your Beer Club perks, including draft beer upgrades and other dine-in and takeout perks, and for picking up your beer releases every other month.

27. I forgot my Member ID, what do I do?

If you can’t locate your member ID, please log in to your BJ’s Premier Rewards PLUS account via the mobile app or our Premier Rewards PLUS account login page. You can also provide the phone number you used when signing up for the Beer Club.

28. How do I change my credit card information?

To update your credit card information, please log in and scroll down to the “Beer Club Details” section.

GIFT SUBSCRIPTIONS – FAQs FOR PURCHASERS

32.  What is a Beer Club Gift Subscription?

Our Gift Subscriptions are a way for you to give to any qualifying recipient a membership for either 3 releases or 6 releases in the BJ’s Brewhouse Beer Club!

  • 3 Release option: Intro Pack and 2 subsequent releases
  • 6 Release option: Intro Pack and 5 subsequent releases

For the duration of the 3 or 6 releases, a Beer Club Gift Subscription includes the same beers and other perks as a standard BJ’s Beer Club membership.

You must be 21 years of age or older in order to purchase a Beer Club Gift Subscription.

33. Who can be gifted the Beer Club?

The recipient of the Beer Club Gift Subscription must be 21 years of age or older.  Currently, our Gift Subscriptions are valid only for new BJ’s Beer Club members who are California residents.

34. How is the Gift Subscription delivered?  Can I schedule the delivery of my gift?

The Gift Subscription will be emailed to your designated recipient.  You will be asked to provide the recipient’s name, email address, and location (city, state).

You can schedule the email delivery for any time in the future.

An email containing a redemption code is sent to the recipient email address you provide on the date you choose. The email can also include a short gift message that you provide during the order process.

35. Will the Gift Subscription automatically renew?

No, our Gift Subscriptions are for a limited duration (for 3 releases or 6 releases) and will not automatically renew at the conclusion of that period.  To keep the beer flowing at the end of their Gift Subscription, recipients can purchase their own Beer Club subscription at any time, subject to the payment terms, automatic renewal terms, and other terms and conditions of a standard BJ’s Beer Club membership.

36. I purchased a Gift Subscription, but the recipient never got the redemption email - what should I do?

The redemption email will not be sent to the recipient until both the Gift Subscription purchase transaction has been charged successfully and the delivery date that you (the purchaser) specified during the purchase process has occurred.  You can verify that date by checking the Gift Subscription purchase email confirmation.

If your transaction was charged successfully and the delivery date you specified has passed, but the recipient is having issues locating the redemption email, please advise them to check their Spam or Junk folder. If they still can’t locate the email, please contact us at beerclub@bjsrestaurants.com.

37. What do I get with my BJ’s Brewhouse Beer Club Gift Subscription?

38. How do I redeem my Gift Subscription?

To redeem your Gift Subscription, click on the REDEEM GIFT button in the Gift Subscription email you received. You can also visit www.bjsrestaurants.com/beerclubredeem and enter the redemption code provided in the email.  Once you’ve entered the redemption code, follow the prompts to begin your Gift Subscription.

39. When does my Beer Club Gift Subscription begin?

Your Gift Subscription begins as soon as you redeem the code, and runs for the remainder of the Beer Club’s two-month period underway on the date that you redeem the Gift subscription (regardless how many days remain in that period).  The dine-in and takeout perks associated with that initial, partial two-month period will be available for 60 days after the date that you redeem the Gift Subscription.

40. What happens when my Gift Subscription period ends?

We will inform you when you have 2 months left in your Beer Club Gift Subscription.  At that time (or any other time), you will have the option to continue your subscription by entering in your payment information and purchasing your own Beer Club subscription, subject to the payment terms, automatic renewal terms, and other terms and conditions of a standard BJ’s Beer Club membership.

41. I’ve received a Gift Subscription but I’m already a Beer Club member - what do I do?

At this time, we are only allowing NEW Beer Club Members to redeem Gift Subscriptions to the Beer Club. If you have received a Gift Subscription but are already a member (thank you!), we recommend that you or the purchaser contact us at beerclub@bjsrestaurants.com.

42. Can I cancel my Gift Subscription early?

Your Gift Subscription cannot be canceled early; however, you may elect not to pick up any remaining beer releases or redeem any remaining other perks. Your Gift Subscription will automatically terminate at the end of the 3-release or 6-release period of your Gift Subscription.
